Tai-pan in Palo Alto is quite good!! I went there twice the past week and had some amazing chinese food. Their giant clam dish and also their fresh shrimp was incredible.

Their lychee martinis are also really good. But what surprised me the most was to see Riedel glasses used at a Chinese restaurant.

The last time I was at an asian restaurant and ordered a glass of red wine, it came out to be refrigerator temperature and nasty. Taipan actually has insignia for about $180, which is not too bad.

So if any of you like authentic chinese food (Not talking about the sweet and sour pork) try this place. I'm not affiliated in anyway but I like it!

Perhaps we can do an offline there one night! The problem is pairing good wine with good chinese food.
