After thinking that I would be going a week without wine, I swung into the smaller of two malls by my hotel and found 2 wine stores in the mall. They carried mostly wine I had never heard of, but picked up two bottles for fun.

2002 Torres Coronas Tempranillo for $8.50
2001 Yering Station Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon for $18.50

I also saw a 1999 Lynch Bages for $127 and passed.

The best sighting was a bottle of Blue Nun for $7.00!

No, the good stuff was in a temp controlled room. Not exactly 55 degrees but probably 65.

Barbara and I visited the Yarra Valley in 2003 and stopped at Yering Station to taste. We tasted the cab, merlot, and pinot noir. The cab was the best of bunch. The wines were well made and balanced. We lived in the PI for two years - it was very warm - my advice would be to drink up.
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

It was pretty good considering I wasn't expecting to drink any wine this week. It's 4am here and time to pack and head back to the states!

Nope, but I did check out the SM Megamall. Over 500 stores. Absolutely insane.

Cool. I heard the MOA has in excess of 600 stores and 150 restaurants.....plain nuts.

You're lucky - when I went to Cebu the only thing I found was "Rice Wine". And it was green.

Before I had a hotel chosen for me, I checked out the Hilton website and saw they had a very cool hotel in Cebu. Looked amazing.
