Heading to Portland for a long weekend in May. I am hoping some folks can provide some dinner recommendations for 1) Fancy/Special occasion meal; and 2) Any local 'can't miss' establishment with a reputation for great food (can be casual, eclectic...anything!) TIA!

Fancy/Special Occasion: Wildwood Higgins Both of these are very good, very polished. Other: Paley's Place Noble Rot - This is a Wine Bar, but the food is excellent as well.

I can't help with Portland, kimber, but I hope you'll travel 1-1 1/2 hours southwest to the Willamette Valley for some special winetasting and dining.
