| Will have a night or two in Annapolis this weekend... Any recommendations for dining? Wining? Brew pubs? | | In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is...

| I'll ask the Rocket Scientist when she gets back from travel (tomorrow); she lived there before we met. I understand Treaty of Paris is rather good. | | | Leave the gun. Take the cannolis. | |

| Can't recommend anyplace by name - I only know locations. Just wander around the harbor area and the streets (spokes) headed toward the state house. Fun town. 2 nights is just about right for a visit.
Chick and Ruth's is a landmark, but it's more of a 3am place if you know what I mean.

Yeah, Jimmy. Except you don't have to walk through a methadone clinic to get there.

| A couple thoughts on Annapolis 1) Kick back at Pussers Landing in the Marriot for a few number 4 pain killers. 2) After painkillers be hungry and go across the bridge to Lewnes Steak House. 3) The chart house I believe is right next door. A good place for a few beers. 4) Jimmy Cantlers is great for seafood. 5) Make Sure you go to McGarvey's Saloon & Oyster Bar.
Here is a link the the washington post entertainment guide for more help. It has more links on bars than restaurants but you've got a bunch of options. | We enjoyed a "family fun" dinner of Crabs at Buddy's Crabs and Ribs several years ago. Not a wino place, but a lemonade and beer place. But we all need those every now and then. | | | Beta testing a new signature.

Buddy's isn't bad for a family kinda place. Plus their fries are kinda cool.

I say it the other way around. A friend of mine said that enough times that it entered my vernacular. Where'd you pick it up kpak?
As for other places to try, I have been toCarrol's Creek a few times and it was pretty good, but it has been at least 5 years since I have been there last. Somebody else mentioned Treaty of Paris...I have heard pretty good things about that place, too (looks quite nice through the windows), but have never been myself... | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| Metropolitian is supposed to have a nice list. Mostly small production wines. Cantler's has great seafood, but since the local crabs are not here yet, I might skip it. Joss was pretty good sushi, but I haven't eaten there in years, so I don't know. | | | |

I'm not arguing with how it's said i'm arguing with the whole "gentleman" part.... Have fun K-pak. | Following up: Made it to McGarvey's Saloon & Oyster Bar as well as Middleton next door. Only had a few oysters and some beer but enjoyed the ambiance. Also went to Buddy's as the nephew wanted their brunch. Definitely kid friendly but brunch buffets are not my cup of tea. Really terrible crab claws. I think the only thing I really could say was good was the bacon - crispy and not toooo greasy. Didn't have alot of time but enjoyed Old Annapolis. (Was in the area for a funeral so didn't have lots of time to explore, really.) | | In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is...
