This has consistently been one of our favorite LA restaurants over the past 3-4 years. Ate there again last night with my girlfriend and her mom for my gf's birthday. Excellent service, great ambience, fantastic food. Appetizers of butternut squash with lobster bisque soup and beet and goat cheese tart; for our main course grilled rib eye, lamb, and maple-glazed duck. Apple crumble and a chocalate creation for dessert. Not sure I've had a better overall meal in LA in several years. Corkage is $20/bottle (waived on Monday nights, btw) and we enjoyed an '03 Kosta Browne Koplen with the appetizers and an '02 Ramey Jericho Canyon with our entres.

As with any restaurant, I've seen different opinions of Josie. I love it. I also happen to prefer Gary Danko to French Laundry, but that's another story/thread... If you haven't been it's definitely worth a try. Sushi aside, Josie is one of the top ten restaurants in LA.
