Can you guys give recommendations for restaurants/activities in St. Lucia. I'll be staying at the Ladera resort.

Thanks!

We were there two years ago and thought the best recreational activity was snorkeling along the cliffs.

Is this place in the Carribean or are you talking about the Santa Lucia Highlands, the home of Pisoni, Garys' and Rosellas vinyards?

Well... this is a wine board.

In an article written about wine by a newspaper reporter that knew zip about wine I was quoted as saying that one of my favorite places for in is in the "Santa Lucia Highlands".

When it came out the article said "Santa Lucia Islands"

You say it fast...

Funny thing... I remember I spelled it out for her...

No advice on restaurants. Two years ago we stayed for a week at the Hilton resort. Ate every meal there. Funny story - we ate at their "fine dining" restaurant one night and their featured wine of the night was Sutter Home. Glad I put some high end bottles in my checked luggage to enjoy in the room. Don't know where your resort was, but the highlight for us was booking a helicopter ride from the airport to the Hilton. Cruising over the petons was insane. Enjoy!

Visited Ladera, preety cool open walled rooms. There is a volcanic park close by to visit. Nearby mountainbike tours, used to be at least. Open air market in downtown Castries. Stayed at one of the Sandals there (free golf!) so I can't help on restaurants.

Most of the stuff in the Castries market was junk, I thought. You can rent boats or charter a fishing yacht at the marina at Castries.
