Ended up going to Greg Norman's Aussie Grill, which was a pleasant surprise. Some of the best sushi grade tuna tartare I have ever had, and a calamari that more than exceeded expectations. Grilled ribeyes, (called cowboy steaks), done to order and some Two Hands Lucky Country and Angels Share. Unfortunately we got the last bottle of Angels, hence the Lucky Country. Odd for a place to run out of the most recent vintage so quickly, but that is what a good review will do for you.
We also ate at an Italian place called Umberto's in Barefoot landing that is run by a family from Pittsburgh. Again having been to Myrtle at least ten times, my expectations were not that high, but again the fare rose above the plastic chairs and paper napkins. We had the Italian Feast for 4, which consisted of; stuffed banana peppers, (HOT)

, tomato salad, fried provolone, angel hair pasta with a coarse fresh tomato sauce, fried calamari, and that was the appetizers. Main course included a platter of chicken cacittorri, 4 large grilled pork chops, which were excellent and an oversize osso buco, which was slightly disappointing. But for roughly $40 apiece, you can't complain. 2 bottles of Antinori Peppoli for $39 fit the bill.
On the low rent side we went out for burgers at Hamburger Dan's, (4 million sold), which was as advertised. $4 burgers and $2.75 for a bottle of Becks, pretty good wings too.
As to the golf, I was really impressed with the courses at Barefoot. My personal ranking would be Fazio, Love and then Dye, we did not get to play the Norman course due to weather delays flying out last Thursday in the snow. Excellent conditions, fast greens and 4 hr 10m rounds. Not bad for resort golf. We also played the World Tour golf course which consists of 27 replica holes from famous courses around the world, Amen Corner from Augusta, 1 & 18 from St. Andrews etc. Again excellent conditions certainly worth playing once as a goof since my invite to Augusta seems to be lost in the mail, but I am not sure I would do it again with over 100 other courses to play in the region.
