| Well, I know nothing about it, but man it sure looks good. If you go, will you please do a brief write-up? | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| You'll have to do a search for this, but there is a goverment building that was recently converted to be a designer boutique-type hotel. It is right near the MCI Center. I have heard it is rather decadent. Might be worth a look, too. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| I asked around and several people in the office have had drinks there, but not eaten there. They did say it was a very nice room. | | | |

| I have to say that mysteries like this are what keeps me enthralled with DC as a city. Great hotels, restaurants, sights that change all the time. In many ways, the constant proliferation of new gems to discover in DC reminds me of my wine hobby. Just when I think I've found something great there is more and more to try. And of course, loads to be loved in all price ranges and styles.
OK, that's out of my system. Back to work. Still waiting to hear from some one who has dined, slept, drank, or otherwise at the intimate Tabard Inn. Thanks TJ, Corkage, Dinwiddie, JohnnyB and others for your responses.

| I always stay at a small, boutique hotel, if I have the choice. And I would always send people to the Henley Park Hotel ( http://www.henleypark.com/hph/index.htm )when I made a DC reco. Have gone to a few GREAT weddings there, too. Tabard Inn looks like another good, small hotel for me to recommend. Let us know how it goes - the service, etc. Would be good to have an alternative. | | | |

| Lilac-
I'll report back if we wind up at this place. Still undecided. It's not everyday that you (voluntarily) stay in a hotel in the city in which you live.
