I read over 2 existing threads concerning Boston. While many restaurants were recommended, not too many hotels were mentioned. These were mentioned though:

Boston Harbor Hotel
Westin
Lenox
...please suggest some other hotels as well.

I am looking to pay around $120.00-$170.00/night. And, preferably in a good location (for tourists) with easy access to touristy-type activities.

Thanks!

P.S.: I may as well see if I am successful in booking a hotel before asking for dining advice &/or major spots to see/visit (as to not waste people's time).

Try Jury's or Nine Zero. Both offer good rates, depending on the dates of your trip.

Also try Newbury Guest House (B&B) and Harborside Inn. Both can be viewed on the following site:

The Boston Harbor Hotel is nice, but it isn't the greatest location - I would expect to take a lot more cabs from there.

Jurys and Nine Zero are good recommendations. I would add the Charlesmark Hotel (smaller place) and and Hotel Commonwealth (the latter especially if you are coming during Red Sox season).

I know you didn't ask for restaurant recommendations, but I strongly recommend Troquet for the high-end dining experience. I can give lots more recos for other types of dining.

My wife and I stayed at the SwisHotel- (Now a Hilton I believe?) in the financial district. It was within easy walking distance of most of the main touristy stuff- freedom trail, commons, Faneiul hall, etc. etc. We got the rates on Priceline for under $100 per night I think.
