| I would like to plan some kind of a 4-day get-away. I am looking @ the New England-area (New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine).
Something along the lines of a relaxing get-away & not skiing (@ this point & time).
Any suggestions? Any recommendation, preferences as a destination as 1 of those 3 states? And, where to stay? And, what activities, interests to take into account?
Thanks as always guyz! | | |

| I think it would be fun (albeit cold) to go out to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket.
Newport is quite nice that time of year.

| North Conway, NH Mt. Washington Inn.
Great facilities, in the mountains, and many good shops [not wine]

| Our favorite runaway. Phenomenal wine list for fairly reasonable $$ and great food. The dinners speak for themselves but you should not miss scone day for breakfast. http://www.theinnatsawmillfarm.com/ | | | |

Good Idea. No crowds and still beautiful. Also consider the Woodstock Inn in Vermont. http://www.woodstockinn.com/

| Should you make it to Maine The White Barn is good option. The Regency in Portland is a nice hotel. In VT my favorite is The Pitcher Inn in Warren...stunning, and a wine cellar that will make you swoon. In NH I recommend as well the Mount Washington Inn. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson | |

| We love the Woodstock Inn. Very pretty. We've also been to the Equinox in Manchester, which is less out-of-the-way. The outlet stores there are superb. | | | |

| If you haven't made up your mind yet I'd throw a vote towards JDBIII's idea of The Inn At Saw Mill Farm. It's one of the nicest places in Vermont to stay and top shelf all the way yet very understated and relaxing. | | | |

| Thanks all, I noted the places to visit. We looked & looked, searched & searched, but instead decided to go to Amsterdam & may be Belgium (decide while we are there). The tickets were reasonably priced so couldn’t resist. | | | |
