After my wife and I go to Match and Pride saturday (tomorrow) we are going to stay in Santa Rosa over night and I am looking for good suggestions for dining. Sonoma.com has tons of listings but many dont have websites or photos. One that does and is supposedly in the area is Latitude. Has anyone been there? It looks appealing but a little feedback would help. Im looking for something with a view of some sorts and want to stay somewhere south of $35 a plate.

Never been to Latitude. Can't think of anything in Santa Rosa that has a 'view', that the food is good.
I'd say
Zazu
or
Willi's Wine Bar
both are fun.

I really like
Restaurant Mirepoix
. No view but excellent corkage policy.

I'll second Zazu and say I've heard good things about Mirepoix.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I am bringing a list of all with #'s so we can decide tomorrow. I am going to bed now. Long drive ahead.

I've eaten at a place called Cafe Lolo a couple of times and enjoyed it.
I think it's on 3rd or 4th. There's a big chinese place on the same street
that is disappointing. Also there's a decent brewpub nearby if you like beer.

Cafe Lolo has been sold and is closed for the time being. I think it's supposed to reopen as a Tapas place.
We have been trying lots of different places up here and so far our favorite place is Mirepoix, although it's up the road a few miles in Windsor. Willi's is good but very expensive. We like the service and prices better at their sister restaurant Monti's out in Farmers Lane. Syrah is also OK as is Underwood out in Graton.

So we ended up at Mirepoix. We weren't seated until aprox 25 min after our reservation but it was made all better when a few glasses of pinot showed up out of nowhere.
Enjoyed the food and it was quite affordable. I would recomend.

That's good to hear. The restaurant is so small that I could see where there could be a delay if someone stays longer than expected. I know that I'm often guilty of that...
