| Going to Tahoe tomorrow for two nights. Close but no cigar. Have not been to Oceana but do most of my dining downtown at Bistro Roxy, La Strada, Brews Brothers. | | | |

| If you're getting to town early enough on Friday, check out the Happy Hour at Montevigna restaurant in the nearby Atlantis Hotel. Mon-Fri from 4-6:30 their wines by the glass are 2 for the price of one and appetizers are half price ($3.50). An unbelieveable deal is the 1996 Perrrier-Jouet Fleur de Champagne at two glasses for $19.95. So for forty bucks, I had four glasses (actually with some topping off by my server, I had the whole bottle), and calamari, caprese salad, and porcini stuffed raviolis for another $10.50.
Enjoy! | | | |

| Be careful in reno. More portable oxygen tanks per capita than anyplace I've ever seen. I think they have one hospital dedicated solely to emphysema. Good luck at the tables nonetheless, if you can peer through the smoke to see the cards you've been dealt | | | |

| Ate at Rapscallions in Reno for the first time. The restaurant has been there for about 20 years and specializes in seafood. Excellent food and service. They are very strict about their $20 corkage too. Deep wine list in older Bordeaux. | | | |
