We are having dinner at the Saddle Peak Lodge tomorrow night, www.saddlepeaklodge.com
Chances are my wife will have fish and I'll probably have a game dish. I'm thinking a Pinot Noir may pair well with both.
Pls take a look at their wine list, most of it is pretty mainstream, but there are some wines I am not familiar with. Any gems, good deals????
Looking forward to your recommendations.

From my own stash I am considering:
2000 Kistler Hirsch PN
2002 Kistler Sonoma Coast PN
2002 RC Savoy
2002 Patz & Hall, either the Hyde or the Alder Spring PN

Lots of choices........whaddya think?

If she has a darker fish (aka a redish one like Salmon) then Pinot would pair fantasticly.

I'd probably go for the 200 Kistler.

Nothing on the list strikes me as a must have (2003 Turley Juveniles at $44 is a decent low cost option but does not work with most fish preparations). I'd bring one of your own in if I were you.

hummmm, i wonder if they'd still recognize me. i love(d) the food there.....

the crocker & starr sauv blanc for $45 is ok, as is the turley juvenile zin for $44, but neither work with your food...

what is the corkage these days?

why champagne bottles you ask? hey, he was a good 12 inches taller than me and out weighed me by about 100 lbs, all of it solid muscle.

self defence, and i'm stickin' to it!
