| Hi guys,
My wife and I just took a weekend in Las Vegas at the end of March. While we did not eat at the AquaKnox we instead ate at another of the Venetian's restaurants, The Grill at Valentino. Given that they're all under the same roof, I would expect their level of service and quality to be similar. After all, if one lags, who would go there?
Anyway, for what it's worth, the service and food at Valentio was superb. The wait staff was both inconspicuous and swarming. They, about 20 of them, surrounded the dining floor and blended in with the background. But when you needed something, they were on it. At one point, I very descretely looked at my watch and within seconds, a waiter was on me very politely asking if there was anything he could get us, "do we have a show time to make?" etc...
The wine captain was very helpfull as well. We both wanted to try one of the Italian Barberas off of their 2400 bottle wine list. Not knowing much about d'Alba vs. d'Asti, I simply asked. He provided a wealth of information about the region and the characteristics. We made a choice based on this and were very happy.
The food, service and wine list were all great and we made it to our show in time.
So, as to what you should expect from AquaKnox? Much the same I would hope! We did walk by AquaKnox and it looks spectacular.
We also ate the MGM Grand Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill. A little more casual but a great dining experience as well. They too had a great wine list.
Expect 2.5x markups over list price for wines. We paid $80 or so for a Shafer Firebreak at Puck's.
Tim p.s. The Venetian is impressive, look up as you walk in the main entrance! It is Sistine like. | | | |

| Precisely. I wouldn't assume you would get the same service or food quality, but I would expect it.
The point I was trying to get across was, since there are other places within walking distance that provide such a high level of service, AquaKnox best provide it as well. Otherwise, I'd let them know that they didn't live up to my expectations. In that competitive atmosphere, they wouldn't be very successful in the long run.
Hope you guys do have a great experience,
Tim | | | |
