I have never seen anyone BYOB at a buffet. I don't go to buffets too often and the only one I go to is the one at Bellagio.

I tried to BYO at the Bellagio buffet. They said that they would have to charge me the same corkage as the high-end restaurants ($35??). The wine I brought to the buffet wasn't worth that charge. I tried to negotiate him down, advising that if we couldn't drink our own wine, we would be drinking water and/or whatever beverage came free with the buffet. Wouldn't they rather have $10 of corkage than nothing at all? They wouldn't budge, so we had the free beverages just to spite them. If you do decide to BYO, bring stems as well.
