We'll be spending some time in the Bay Area in June with my father-in-law. Since I'll be turning 40 then, my wife and I would like to spend a night or two in Sonoma County and tour the Russian River Valley wineries. Any recommendations for a nice small hotel /inn or B&B in the area?

I can vouch for three:

Vintner's Inn (make sure you dine at John Ash & Co.)

The Raford House

Dry Creek Inn - clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. Each one of the recommendations looks great.

Board-O, have you stayed at the Camilla Inn before? It looks great on its website but I'm wondering how quiet it is given its age and wood floors.

No we haven't, but we have taken the two larger rooms on the top floor which share a common sitting room. I like the location and it has a pool for an afternoon dip. We usually stay at The Vintage Inn in Yountville, but $390 for a room and breakfast is a bit obscene, esepecially at the end of a 16 day trip where we're staying at some great inns with Wine Spectator Award dining rooms and wine lists.

The Inn at Occidental is good, if you like to be in the souther end of Russian River (or Green Valley).

Also, The Gaige House Inn in Glen Ellyn is great.
