Quick trip report.
Friday night was at Bacchanalia. This is my second trip to B and it was just as good as I remembered it. Service was good, but quite slow. We came hungry and thought we might starve before we actually got to even order our meal. We did get a smal "treat" about the size of a Quarter. It was good, but we were starving. I would definately recommend this place to anyone going to Atlanta that enjoys interesting fare and does not mind a price fixe menu. Wine list is good, not grand.
Saturday evening was at Emeril"s Atlanta. BAM! What a showplace. It was modern, sleek and had a multi-story, circular, glass enclosed wine cellar. Very impressive indeed and it served as one of their two wine rooms. The food was wondeful, the service was excellant and the wine list was very nice indeed. Priey, but very good. This was my favorite stop during my food tour of Atlanta.
Sunday took us to the River and Canoe. Pretty place, although we did not get to dine on the river. Food was good but the service was so so. We had a larger crowd, but I had expected more here. While there was nothing especially wrong, I do not see a return engagement.
Monday took us to Rathbun's. Interesting place with no signs due to some ordinances. Very odd indeed. The food was quite nice, service was attentive and for a large group, we had the wine room which made for an intimate, quiet dining experience with 27 of my closest friends.

I would definately head back to Rathbun's.
3 out of 4 winners is a pretty good hit ratio.
Thanks to those of you that have given me ideas over the years on the places to go.
