Just arrived in San Fran for the week vacation (countdown to Chez Panisse: 3 hours). Anyway, we read about the "Savor St. Helena" event as part of the Mustard Festival being held this Saturday. Cost is $20/person for all you can eat/drink from area restaurants and wineries from 11-3:30pm.

Has anyone ever been to this event and would you recommend it? We're trying to decide if we'd rather head to Sonoma for the day.

Much appreciated.

Kimber,

I think that this is the buy tickets and stroll up and down main st. thing. If you were here anyway, it is fun, but I doubt that there will be too much serious wine (and if there is it will be at the very beginning)

I'm not sure about the mustard festival, but I prefer Sonoma on the weekends since it is much less crowded than Napa. If you do go to Sonoma, be sure to go to the Russian River Valley area and stop at Martinelli.
