| Looks like I will be in Vancouver next week for a night or two. Anyone know of any better hotels that are preferable? | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com |

| Sutton Place Hotel. Smack in the downtown area - beautiful hotel, great staff, convenient location.
And the conference rooms are named after wine regions in France.
I've bumped up my Vancouver day trip write-up for you as well. | | | |

| OK, comedians. We stayed at the Sutton Place Hotel downtown and could find no fault with the hotel or its location. I'm not a big fan of Vancouver. It has its charm, but it's another big city, with all the pros and cons that implies. As an alternate, you could stay at the Fairmount. That way, if you'd like help selecting a Canadian wine with your breakfast, you'll know who to ask. | | | |

| We just got back and stayed at the Granville Island Hotel. Right off the bridge from downtown Vancouver, and just a water taxi ride away too. Nice arty and fun area, but crowded. Easy access to downtown by car. Nice place. They have internet deals too. | | | |

| We always stay at the Sutton Place, nice hotel, great staff. One of my favorite "big cities". It looks like I am going back around the 17th of Sept. | | | |

| We stayed at the Four Seasons. Very reasonably priced for a Four Seasons ($220 a night (and we got upgraded to a suite for free)) - unfortunately the hotel is also not as good as a typical Four Seasons. | | | |

| Jones, did you dine @ that 4 Seasons? We did not stay there, but had dinner there 1 night. We really liked it. The food was excellent. At the end of the dinner, our waiter brought out a cheese plate on the house. I liked that restaurant a lot. | | | |

| I did not - I was there for a wedding so our evenings were planned for us. I do remember really enjoying a bottle of Pol Roger Cuvee Winston Churchill 1988 in the hotel bar however. | | | |
