| Have a great trip. We spent the weekend in the city at a wedding at the Pierre. We looked at Aureole, but haven't been there yet. | | | |

| Bolo was great, great food, good wine list (Spanish and US), and fine service. We ate from a collection of small tapas, that was followed by an incredible Grilled Octopus Salad, for my entree I had the Roasted Rabbit Wrapped in Serrano Ham with Wild Mushroom Risotto & a Saffron-Carrot Sauce and my wife had the Grilled Wild Striped Bass in a Fresh Clam Broth, With Lemon, Thyme & Piquillo Peppers. Both were excellent. We drank a 2001 Clos Mogador and a 2001 Sot Lefriec both very nice. | | | |

| Let us know how Babbo turns out. I was there last weekend and was slightly disappointed, however, I didn't try the pasta tasting that so many here rave about. | | | |

| Babbo was phenomenal great food, super Italian wine list, wonderful service I had a special Black Ink Pasta with Rock Shrimp, Chorizo and peppers followed by Grilled Pork Chop with Cipolline, Carciofi and Aceto Manodori. My wife had the special Caprese with buffalo mozzarella and heirloom tomatoes followed by the special Pappardelle pasta with Black Truffles. We drank a 1997 Domenico Clerico Per Christina Borolo and a 1999 Amorone I do not remember the name of, both were very nice. | | | |

Landshark, I loved their version of the Caprese. I thought substituting lemon basil for standard basil was ingenious and really added another dimension to a classic dish.

| Never been to Babbo, but I have been to Bolo 3 times. Each time it has been excellent (food, service and wine). Yes, the rabbit with serranno ham is outstanding.

| I have to say that after spending several months planning the trip to NY last Xmas and spending a lot of time getting reservations at Babbo and Nobu, I enjoyed the dinner at Aquila with the NJ/NY group a lot more. The funny thing is that my wife, daughter and I would list Italian food as our favorite, but we all thought that the food at Babbo was too salty. My daughter's pasta was deemed inedible by all three of us. To be honest, we were shocked. But we loved the gelato and sorbet. Of course, Nobu is another story. I was the only Japanese there and I can see why. | | | |

| I am sorry that your experience was less than stellar, but I have to say there were six people there for dinner (16 items were ordered, 2 Caprese salads, 1 zucchini flower special, 7 pasta dishes, 3 meat items and three desserts) last night and everybody loved their food. Two of us had eaten there before for the others it was there first time. I would definitely go again the next time I am in New York.
I have only eaten at the Nobu In Malibu and South Beach Florida, They were both okay, with Malibu certainly better than South Beach, but I do not know if I would call them Japanese restaurants. They have always seemed to me to be Pacific Rim/ Japanese Fusion places and you either like that style or not.
