Has anyone been to this restaurant? If so, any tips on getting a good table? Excellent items to order? Inquiring minds want to know.

Louis XV

Many thanks!

Tricia and I were there in 1985. Half planned the whole damn trip around having a meal here. When we made the hotel reservations they said hotel guests have first priority every night and can get the best table (I'm sure with a tip to the concierge). When we got there the restaurant had just closed for two weeks of refurbishing.

Not much help here, but my mom and I had lunch there 14 years ago. (Can it really be that long??) There is a link to the lunch menu on the website you provided. Then, as now, it was a limited prix fixe menu. Iirc, we had Chateaubriaund (sp?). It was a great meal, and made up for a couple of weeks of bopping around Bavaria without an agenda, eating variuos types of sausages and downing steins of beer. It was August, when most of Europe goes on holiday. Getting a table was no problem. It remains to this day my single most expensive lunch ever. But that record will fall by orders of magnitude this Saturday when Mrs. V and I head to Per Se for a noon reservation.
Beta testing a new signature.
