Hello Everyone:

I'm a newbie to this board - it's a great place to learn about wine.

One question (basic): I've read that removing the glued labels from "New World" wines is best accomplished by putting the (empty!) bottle in a 150 degree oven for a few minutes. The glue loosens and the label can then be peeled/scrapped off.

Has anyone tried this method? I'd like to save the labels of some of the wines I've enjoyed. Thanks,

Mark

Haven't tried that method, but label off works relatively well.

Jason - thanks. Will compare Label Off with the 'oven' method.

If neither work for you, try: http://www.grape-nutz.com/soldiers/labels/removal.html

Thanks Pete - that page is great....I've tried the soaking method. The labels on the California wines (especially) seem to be using a space-age adhesive (LOL) that makes soaking alone difficult....
