The answer is a definite 'Yes'. The quality of wine for your money has actually raised with 2000 Bordeaux even though the top end prices have escalated. To get a 90 point wine now you could easily pay under $20 when you go to the lesser Right Bank appellations. Try out Cotes du Castillon, the satellites Lalande de Pomerol, Montagne St Emilion and Puisseguin St Emilion then there's Premieres Cotes du Bordeaux and Listrac. Some fabulous wines from each of these areas without having to shell out for Petrus or Ch Margaux.
I have wines for 2000 from all of the above except Listrac (oh and Petrus and Ch Margaux

) as well as some St Emilion Grand Crus and Pomerols. I am willing to crack open the cheaper ones to give an indicator and the Cotes du Castillons have proven fabulous if young. No attempts at any others yet but I doubt there will be disappointment in the KillerB household
