I just picked a couple of bottles of this up from a friend. Paid a fairly high price for it, but is it any good. It is for a tasting I am organising.

Haven't had it, but I suspect it'll be pretty good. I mean it IS Kistler.

RP gave it 96 points and says; $65
The astonishing 1999 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard tastes like a grand cru Chevalier-Montrachet or premier cru Meursault-Perrieres given its liquid minerality, and extraordinary nose of honeysuckle/tropical fruits. Full-bodied, with exceptional delineation for a wine of such size, this extraordinary Chardonnay marries unbridled power and richness with uncanny elegance and precision. A Chardonnay of great stature as well as majesty, it should drink well for 7-8 years.

seek1,
Other than that, I guess it's perfectly ordinary

I had this wine last back in Dec. It is fantastic. You won't be disappointed. Can't find my notes on it, though.

Thanks all.
I don't have the CA WA issue.
