This Lebanese wine, a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon/ 20% Mourvedre/ and 20% Syrah, boasts a super black/garnet opaque red color and a full bodied palate. Not sure what to expect for this is my first wine from Lebonon, I was quite pleased. Aromatics of plum, cassis, spicy berries, leather, earth, and beef. Wonderful finesse and feel in the mouth with sweet red berries-(strawberry), raspberry, plum, iron, cassis, and lively spice, with lingering vanilla nuances. This reminded my quite a bit of the 1997 Chateau Faugeres. The fruit and tannins are in nice early balance and rendering this wine another 10-15 years should not be a problem. The finish is a little tannic and short, but over all quite a tasty wine. Solid 89-90 points.

$25 at auction. Had this tonight with Easter Dinner (label says vineyard is 18 miles from where Jesus turned water into wine so it's appropriate I think) and Seeks notes are spot on, I didn't find the finish that short however. It has some of the terrior qualities of Bordeaux, but definately isn't Bordeaux. RP gave this a 94 I think and I'd come in at about 90, but as Seek posted this wine has a long life ahead of it and it could improve a good bit. Have 2 more. Certainly a good ringer candidate.
