| Maipo Valley, Chile.
Medium-dark burgundy colour. Aromas of crushed raspberry, pepper, violet, spice. Medium-full bodied, with just a touch of alcohol peaking out from behind the fruit, but this integrated with time. Raspberry, smoke, blueberry, black cherry, and spice notes on the palate. Soft in the mouth, but not flabby; tannins integrated nicely. Good finish with red berry fruit, 30s. Very nice drink. 89 points (06/30/2005). | | |
