I love this wine. It's so easy to drink and versatile with many dishes or completely on its own. Limes, lemos, a bit of grass, and a very nice balance of great mouthfeel with wonderfully food-friendly acidity. Delicious. 90 pts. (90 pts.)

Limes, some tropical fruits, some minerality,no grass this time, but nicely balanced and absolutely a joy to drink. 90 pts. (90 pts.)

Thanks for the TN, TJ. I've always loved the minerality in this wine.

A contrary viewpoint:

I had this wine on the 4th of July. It was not damaged. Eight of us agreed that it was not worth drinking. We tossed what was in our glasses and dumped the rest of the bottle. Not worth drinking imo.

I can't be bothered to create a new thread for this one. I really should have drunk this a year ago but spotted it lurking last night.

First problem: When I took the foil off there was a little mouldy old seepage. Worrying for such a young wine. Cleaned it up though and the cork came out without any problems.

Colour: Green! Like diluted lime cordial. Nose: Limey. Taste: Lime.

This is lime cordial.

KB-- I don't like my SBs that 'aulde', I like 'em young.

More comments on the 2004....Had it three more times this summer.

More melons this time and the lime has faded in to the background, the fruit is still there, but it's structure, whatever of it that it had before has begun to falter a bit. I wouldn't say flabby, but it was a relative disappointment to the other bottles of this that I have drunk. (85 pts.)

limelonoupe. As in Lime-melon-lope. Not so much minerality this time, and not as crisp as the last couple of times, still good. (88 pts.)

Limes and river stones, the real smooth kind. Very crisp but not überzingy like a NZSB. Nice. (90 pts.)
