Yellow-gold in hue, a chardonnay of moderate viscosity. Floral and peachy-pear nose with those lovely hints of butterscotch that i love in a chard. Mouthfeel is distinctly and interestingly weighty but not heavyweight. Butterscotch more prominent in early pours, dissipating as wine warmed and food mixed. A consistent buttery chard without being cloying with a modest vanilla -oak finish.
Hey....this is a solid 90, and at $13.99, a wonderful QPR. Please enjoy.

Dick,
Heartily agree on Catena!
Their Agrelo chards are consistently in the 90 point range,
and the price is right!
I've been drinking these (a lot) since the 97 vintage and have
never had a bad experience with this wine.
Their malbec and cab are pretty impressive too.

These are great wines and a great value. I have the 00 and 01 in the cellar. Unfortunately, my last one tried (00) was badly corked

rmkam...
Check out the current 2002 vintage.
It's even better than the 2001!

Budman,
Thanks. I just saw it tonight. I'll put in on my list to place in a mixed case to get my 20% off. That will get it to $13.59 per..giddie up
