I know this is the wrong place to talk about Yquem because it is not a "dessert" wine. Maybe someday we'll get a catagory for "sweet" wines .

1998 Chateau d'Yquem, Sauternes

This wine is really singing right now. Parker has given the wine only 91 points and says it should be consumed between 2003 and 2053. Because of the 2003 drink date I tried this wine for the first time middle of last year... and it was stunning. I have had it several times since with the same results. I have no doubt that if Parker would retaste this he would raise his score quite a bit.

Tanzer gave it 95 points saying, " its creamy, seamless texture makes it seem deceptively accessible today but sound acid structure should keep it going for 20 years or more". Spectator doesn't even rate it.

Half bottles of this are selling for $100 with the 750 at $200. There is quite a bit of it around I'm sure because of the Parker score. If you're looking for a bottle to drink now this is not a bad choice.

It looks as though your wish has come true. This Forum is now known as "Sweet Wine TNs"

I sure would like to post a more appropriate picture but it looks at this time the site isn't set up for that... or am I missing something? http://www.100pointers.com/boardpictures/pigmud.jpg

Some things aren't as easy as they used to be, or take a bit of getting used to.

I'll ask another question... because there is the perfect example right here.

Dave's Quote "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" doesn't have any "space" below it.

My Quote "In lieu of flowers drink a great bottle of wine." has a ton of space below it. How do I get rid of this space?

Delete your avatar......notice your first post (much longer) doesn't have the space.

I decided to just delete my sig.

I don't know what the difference is between how the sig was and how it is now but now they seem to get "in the way" when I'm reading posts. My eye goes to easily to them and I don't like that. I think the sigs are "fun" but I don't want to look at everyone everytime.
