Had this wine last night with ojeffso and mrs. and Revlis. Rev kindly allowed me to take tthe leftover 1/2 bottle home with me. For lack of a better tool, this wine is being consume out of a brandy snifter.

Wine is a dark brownish-orange in color, almost pumkin pie-like. Somewhat reserved on the nose. Velvety mouthfeel and very smooth. This wine is not harsh in the least. Flavors of orange essence, carmel and roasted nuts. Slightly lacking in length, but very well done. jb Rating 89

I think this wine sells for $10 for a 375ml. At that price, this is a QPR winner. A

I liked it a bunch for $10. gonna buy a couple more for occasions that warrant a tawny. I'd rate it "very good" but really can't put a number to sweeties.

I tasted the RL Buller Tokay, Muscat, and Tawny Port this weekend and was flabbergasted to later learn that Parker had give them all high scores! They are nice, concentrated, and fairly sweet, but to give the Tokay 95 and the Muscat 97 is bit too much. All 3 are fairly close to 90 points and are good bargains, esp. in the 375ml sizes for those non-regular port drinkers. I would also recommend them.

N.V. R.L. Buller & Son Tawny Port - Australia, Victoria (10/7/2006)
Mission fig, toasted walnut, burnt coffee flavors. Decent QPR (87 pts.)

Wasn't a big fan of the tawny port, even at Costco prices for the 375. We much prefer the Seppelt Tawny Port in 750 for the same price and in our opinion better quality.
