OK, so last night I was at home on my own. All my colleagues had gone for an enormous p***-up in London but I was training yesterday and today so I didn't go. Lady K was also in London meeting up with some old work colleagues. Stuff the lot of them I'm having some VP.

A half-bottle of Quinto do Bomfim seemed like a fair thing to have to myself as long as the good lady didn't ring up and asked to be saved from Rugby station having missed the last train. Decanted into a nice crystal dec and a suitable amount of gunge retrieved. The aroma always comes out nicely when you're decanting and there was a heck of a lot of caramel with some nice raisiny tones, rhinitis allowing.

Colour was pleasant chocolatey-cherry and it was clear as a bell with legs right up to its hips. In the mout there was an initial hot bit but the caramel and raisins came back with avengence. Little tangs of other soft fruit popped up with the odd bramble and cherry. Maybe a little sharp and hot but generally, it was a very pleasant experience sitting down with a single quinta all to myself.

Until the phone rang and I had to down tools and head out to Rugby. It's a good job I hadn't had too much at that point or she would have been stuck there all night.
