Dessert, an 85 Dow VP. By no means near my fave from the vintage, Graham, this Dow is an easy drinker, so easy in fact we drank the whole 750. The sweetness and power of the classic 85’s seem missing in this Dow. The bottle didn't throw much sediment, and the colour was less black than expected, altho still inky. Nose was restrained/muted, slight hint of brandy. Even the finish doesn’t linger as long as one might like. I should add that there were six of us, one didn’t drink any wine, and only 4 of us drank the whole port bottle, so perhaps the taste was impaired at this point. My rating, 87 points, and at $44, QPR is a C.
