| Inky purple colour. Hot nose. Concentrated aromas of chocolate, cassis, raspberry, oak, and vanilla. Full-bodied, rich, with raisins, cassis, and raspberry. Delicious. Will get better with time. 92 points. | | |

| futronic...thanks for the notes.
Though I did not record any formal notes on this wine, I was very suprised how approachable it was. Extremely smooth tannins for such a reasonably young VP.
To be fair, it was the first time I have had a chance to taste a 1994 VP. I guess I expected this wine to be a little rougher/tighter...but then again, Graham's VP is reputed to be a little 'Rounder' than say Taylor F. VP.
I provided this Port for the dinner in New Orleans. I bought it over the phone from a local (N.O.) retailer who delivered them to the restaurant 3 days in advance (VP's just don't travel well). The restaurant decanted them the day of the dinner. Funny thing is...I didn't ask how long they had been decanted for? The decanting time may hold a clue as to it's tasted state.
Consumed after dinner with a lovely Bolivar Royal Corona cigar.
