Dark red purple colored wine with thin slow moving moderately pigmented legs. Surprisingly accessible nose of green apple, maple syrup, dark fruits, and heat. Smooth and suave in the mouth with good fruit, apparently light tannins, and only average sweetness. The wine finishes sooner than I would expect. Quite a fine early drinking rather approachable port. Drink 2010 to 2025. 92+ points. 2000 seems more and more to me to be only an above average year that is benefitting from the 2000 designation.

Thanks Jones. I think I'll buy only a couple of 375ml bottles for short term drinking.

How long was the bottle open before you drank it?

The wine was decanted and tasted immediately upon decanting and 18 hours later.
