Another QPR bargain. Light straw in color. The nose has ripe green apples and fresh citurs. On the palate there are beautiful flavors of pineapple, green apple and mild vanilla. Very well balanced with crisp acidity and tropical fruit making for a nice lingering fruit finish. And here is the best part. Only $5.99!!! M. Ray is a new second label of the Martin Ray Winery. Trader Joe's it seems bought the entire stock of all the M. Ray cab and chardonnay. It is an absolute bargain!! Both the cab and the chard are excellent values. I gave the cab 88 pts and I'm giving the chardonnay a score of 89 pts. Pleas give either one of these a try. You won't be sorry.

Cheers

thanks paule -

I wish there was a Trader Joe's near me - this is the type of bottle I'd pick up as a house wine.

paulie5, based on your notes I picked one up today and am sipping it right now. I think I have a new house white! I'm getting some nice creamy pear, some spice, good balance, nice intensity and a good finish. I'm tasting through the onset of a cold ( ) so I'm not doing a formal tasting note, but off the cuff I'd definately agree with your 89 point assessment. Good call!

Thanks Eric. Try the cab too. Give an hour to open up a bit. Hope you're feeling better.

Cheers
Paul
