| This is the first time I have shared a tasting note, so please just take it at face value. I don't claim to really know what I am doing.
Picked up this bottle at the local super market, was in the mood for a light white wine. I was suprised that it wasn't all that bad. In fact, I would recommend it as a decent value wine. Interested in real Savignon drinkers thoughts, since I don't spend too much money (or time) on Savignon Blancs.
Clos Du Bois 2001, North Coast Savingnon Blanc Cost: $10
Color: Straw/White, clear
Smell: Grapefruit, floral, lemon, Oak
Taste: Dry, oaked, good balance, high acid - but proper. Crisp and refreshing. Good for $10!

| basslice-i don't spend too much time on sauvignon blanc either. when i do, i tend to drift towards new zealand. i find that for $10-12 i get alot for my money. a very good reliable one is selaks.
btw, very good notes. | | | |

| ojeffso, right on with the selaks comment. But I am surprised you don't wander around a bit more in the land of kiwi for other choices to experiment. But maybe you have, already? I always try to pick up one or two that I haven't tried before to see what they're like | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| Considering I think I am a novice when it comes to rating wines, I was happy to open todays Wine Spectator and see they rated this wine as one of their monthly "Best Values". They also gave it the exact score I gave it, 85.
