I got this on the cheap from one of pops' first dumps. Yowza this was good.
Served slightly above cellar temp in Riedel Vinum Chardonnay/Chablis glasses.
I can't honestly tell you much on the TN front, since a)I'm rusty and b)I hand to fight for every drop of this I could get with Mrs. TJ drinking it so quickly.
Served it will a recipe from 'The Winelover's Cookbook', Cornish Hens, it was a superlative match. This Cornish Hen recipe called for some garlic, salt, rosemary and shallots in the body cavity and a wet rub of mustard, chervill, pepper, parsely, tarragon, chive, salt, paprika and red pepper flakes, it was wonderfully delicious. I have not made a bad thing, ever, from this cookbook.
The wines was almost Kistler-like on the nose and had a heady nose of pineapple, and apple pie. Well structured flavors of more of this and a rich creamy texture and a wonderful finish made this last and last. I only wish I could have Jedi-mind-tricked Mrs. TJ into slowing down a little.
Nice.
92 TJ points.
THANKS POPS!
