Green-Gold color with average clarity. Smells a bit "hot" with apricot, rose, and wet steel/slate scents. Crisp up-front acidity, with a medium body and oily, sugary texture. It tastes of apricot, rose, tropical fruit and with a distinctive "hot" alcoholic bite. The alcohol subsides into a long rose and tropical fruit finish. The finish actually lasts too long for my liking. 87 points. 1920 cases made. $14 at the vineyard only. Let the alcohol "heat" die a little and drink now through 2004.

3rd Night Evaluation:

Drink it fast. Even when properly sealed (wine bottle vacuum thingy), it loses it's fruit and ALL the rose flavor quickly. It's still got that acidity thought!
