| Tasted as part of Aquila dinner/blind tasting on 12/8/02. Wine tasted from a short wide mouth wine glass.
Deep golden yellow color with tropical fruits on the nose. Lovely pear and white fruits in the mouth. Some butter and oak in the long finish. Very well balanced with good acidity. jb Rating 89.

| I actually have a few of these as I picked them up @ the Vineyard. I was Not as impressed as most (@ the Tasting). Have to re-visit it. Thought that it lacked some body & depth, & finish. But, a descent drinking Chard.

| I enjoyed this chardonnay much more than the 2000 Neal.
Low acidity, not over-the-top butter like most chards I've had recently, and pretty floral, peach, and tropical flavors.

| Edited: The last statement is supposed to state "a descent drinking Chard". Have to check the price on. Depends on the price, I would know if Recommended or Not (for me). | | | |

| LCC, I think retail was around $24. I opted for the Robert Young Winery version of their own vineyard chardonnay. It was (to my taste) several points better than the CSJ version from the same vineyard. | | | |

| LCC, I just checked the WS database. I think I see what's going on. There are 2 bottlings of 99 CSJ Robt Young Vineyard chard. The 'regular' bottling retails for $25 (that's the one I had). They also make a reserve bottling at $35 retail (I guess club discount is 20%). Looks like that's the one you're referring to. Wow, we're both more or less right! I love it when that happens. | | | |

| This was the Reserve. May be, j.b. can change the Title if he sees this. | | | |

| My last bottles tonight. And, a good thing.
Drink NOW, asap. I swear that I had this about 6-8months ago & felt that it can take another year. This is 1 of those that lost it very fast. The fruit is going & I was drinking/eating the barrel. | | | |
