| Let me preface my remarks by saying that I like Vitis Vinifera, as no doubt we all do. If I didn't like this wine, I would probably not have posted tasting notes, but I would not post something I don't believe about the wine just because VV is the winemaker.
The wine was decanted 2 hours prior to tasting as suggested by VV. The wine had a light golden color and a lovely nose of vanilla with hints of apples and oak. On the palate, the wine is powerful and viscous with nuances of apple. It is complex and delicious and stood up to an appetizer with some substance and spice. I'd highly recommend this wine, and it's more than fair price makes it a QPR winner, but a winner also regardless of price. It's one of the best American Viogniers I've ever had. I gave it 91 points, my wife one less. This bodes well for the future of the winery.

| How does 1 become, then, a Wine Critic/Reviewer/"Expert"? I drink a good amount of Wine. We ALL do. We are NOT. Why is Laube, Parker, & Co.? How did they become...
I hope that, @ least, some of these guys have some sort of "training". Or, as ojeffso says, nepotism. Or, luck?

They are still available from the winey (at least as of two weeks ago). Which would give you a second chance to post your notes.

| Stemore, you should get a TN Assistant to help you with your TNs. Heck, you could make them drive vast distances to go pick up your wine, too! | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

Yes, we do. Good to hear. I have 2 bottles that I am itching to try.
But, when he gets to the Helen-level, he won't even remember us, little people, & no discount (probably) either...

lcc, when reviewing any wine with which you could be charged with a lack of impartiality, disclosure is required. True, I wanted to like the wines, but I honestly did.

| When I started reading the first paragraph I thought you were going to slam on his wine.
I will order some of this. I am still seeking good examples of viognier.

Amen to that Board-O!
I love the Vin Con Brio Viognier also - I compare it to the Pride at a fraction of the cost. | | | 2008: the end of an error

| Does anybody have his email address? Do you think he would mind if I sent him an email direct? They don't have a PM function at the "brand X" website. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |
