Price: unknown, yet another gift from davidn.

Aroma dominated by vanilla & hint of phenol.

Light golden clear yellow color. A Sauv Blanc-like yellowish color.

Tasted vanilla, lemon/lime, crisp, green apple? (right @ the end of the finish) & kiwi (don’t ask why & how), but I tasted kiwi. Also, a bit grassy.

It does have a Sauv Blanc feel/taste to it. In an blind taste test, I would have a hard time pinning this or differentiating this bottle as a Chard vs Sauv Blanc. It’s not the 1st time that I noticed Sauv Blanc-type characteristics in a Chard. But, I am not a fan of such a style of a chard. I like my chard as a chard & blanc as a blanc. That’s just me & my taste.

Lovely bottle of wine for the season. Love a good white in the summer!

I would actually hold this bottle another year or so & then test/try OR decant may be 20-30mins & drink. It was drinking better with some air & time…

What can I say, for the 4th time in 2 weeks: THANK YOU, davidn!

Rating: 92 if not for the Sauv Blanc-type sensations/characteristic or if you enjoy such a style in a Chard. And, 90 because of the Sauv Blanc-type sensations/characteristic. Still, a very good bottle of white!

I would recommend the Testarossa Rosella, Sleepy Hollow or Michaud over the Bien Nacido if you have a choice.
