2000 Domaine Carneros Le Reve Blanc de Blancs Brut - USA, California, Napa Valley, Carneros (8/10/2008)
WIML89

Tasted August 10, 2008. Purchased for $68.00 from a restaurant list.

Opened and served immediately. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout with medium beading through. Light to medium nose of yellow fruits: apples and pears. Flavors are the same on the palate with a little added creme. Medium acidity and body. Drink over the short term. (89 pts.)

Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone.

That was a good price, as they charge about that much at the winery. Domaine Carneros is a lovely placed to visit, and they make my favorite California sparkling wine. However, there is a lot of excellent French champagne that sells in that price range.
