$25, Retail.

Heck, this is always one of the better chards under $25 just about every year.  Most of the time one can't go wrong with the PR Beringer Chard.  Interesting that both Parker & WS rated it a 93.  I don't get 93 points out of it, but a solid, great bottle it is.  No need to hold but no need to rush.  So, do either w/o any fear.

Rating: 90 points, drink or hold.

My 2nd of 3 bottles.

Did not decant, not needed. Practically year-after-year, it provides for a great chard value.

The little unbalanced bitterness on the finish takes away from the overall experience/rating. If not for that sensation, this would be a 93 pointer that RP & WS gave it. But, the finish does have this sensation & which does take away from the overall enjoyment of the wine.

But, otherwise it is just great.

Thus, 90 points again. I don’t see the 93 points since the wine does not follow through all the way… Still, you can't go wrong with this bottle of chard.

The Beringer Reserves are not made to age, but certainly always drink great young and can be obtained at affordable prices.
