Last year I tried an Aubert Ritchie immediately upon receipt, and it was unbalanced at that point. So with trepidation I decided to pop a single one of my 04 Aubert Reulings...

Wow! Silky soft gentle flavors caress the palate with butterscotch, hazelnut, and tropical flavors. Clearly California in origin, this is not a wimpy wine, but a BIG hit with everyone, including a proclaimed non-wine drinker! 93-95 pts.

Not as ripe and full as other Aubert chards of this vintage, this walks a fine line between California and the ripest French examples. The alcohol is integrated, and this is a very balanced drink now. Will try again tomorrow. Tonight, 93 points.

A good wine for sure.  92+ here.   I do find it amazing that with 15.8% alcohol that it doesn't overpower the wine.  Great balance.

Lighter on its feet than the other 04 Aubert chards but also maybe not as complex. Very fine Chardonnay and a stellar combination with crab cakes. Good balance with barely a hint of alcohol. Our last bottle. (92 pts.)
