| Pale straw, green hints with a medium nose of minerals, citrus, nuts, green apple and yellow pears. Medium body, medium plus intensity, and medium plus acidity. Minerals, stones, apples, pears a CA chard for the Burgundy lover. This is a buy when it is released. 94pts. | | |

| Yes it is, we tasted it @ Peay. I think it is going to be an excellent bottle of Chard. And, I see that you agree, Jason.
I absolutely love Peay whites. Of course, they make so little of the Chard, that one will be lucky to get 2-3 bottles (@ most).
Actually, I know that you are not a Chard guy @ all. So, for you to rate so high, says something.

| Andy came by the store last week with a few of the new wines including this chard. Your description is spot on as is your rating - this is about as good as chardonnay gets in California.

Actually, I am a Chardonnay guy. But I prefer chardonnay that is not all about incredibly ripe/overripe fruit with lots of oak.
Like I said this Peay is a definite buy.

| a very nice wine, but tonight the color was almost cloudy(unfiltered-like). the flavours weren't "off"(i agree with ALL of jasons descriptors), but i'd have a very hard time agreeing with 94 points.
92? yes.

| interesting Tbird, I tasted this at Rhone Rangers (yeah, yeah, I know, not a rhone wine, it was being poured under the table) and I was simply blown away- I find 94 actually on the low side. | | | 2008: the end of an error | |

| at 92, i don't think that's a bad score(i have gone on record at hating giving "scores", i am not in any way qualified). i really like the wine, a lot! | | | |

| Well it is unfiltered.
If the bottle had been sitting still for a couple of hours and then gently poured you probably wouldn't notice the "cloudiness" until the last couple of glasses. But if the bottle traveled at all or was decanted it will definitely be cloudy. All that merde floating around in there makes the wine taste mo-better.
I tasted this at World of Pinot a couple of weeks ago. I loved it! Lots of peeps were talking about it.

well, i guess that'd explain that one! d'oh! the bottle had been sitting still and was lightly poured. but it was only slightly cloudy, thus me being unsure of it's unfiltered status.

Oh, I totally dig that 92 isn't a bad score - its great! Just that for me this wine was really out of this world. I'm not drinking so much Chard these days, but this wine shook me up and turned me upside down (which I guess is Davidn's equivalent of socks rolling up and down a few times ) | | | 2008: the end of an error

| I'd agree, but even in that context the 2004 pinot is a standout.
