While not quite as good as the mind blowingly 97pt '01, this is extracted chardonnay making with gobs of butterscotch, fig, bartlett pears, banana and toasty oak with a 40 second finish. This should drink well for 5-8 years. 94pts. IW

2003 Kongsgaard Chardonnay - USA, California, Napa Valley (7/6/2008) WIML91+ Tasted July 6, 2008 at an offline. 14.1% alcohol. Opened and served immediately. Yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of vanilla, nutmeg and creme. Flavors of apple, creme fraiche and cinnamon. Light to medium acidity, medium to full body. Drink or hold. (91 pts.)
