| This wine has a nice lightly golden color and a tropical nose of melon, citrus, and papaya. Pears, lemon, and melon are present on the creamy palate. The citrus brings a biting acidity at times, but this is an interesting wine. This is nice, but certainly not my favorite Diamond T Cuvee. I believe I liked the 2001 Talbott Sleepy Hollow Chardonnay that I had a few weeks ago a little more. 88 pts. | | |

| Me too. The problem is, I think they wait too long to release their wines (at least to my part of the country). The 2000 Diamond T and 2001 Sleepy Hollow are current releases here. | | | |

| Do you get any of the cuvee Cynthia or cuvee Audry back there (east coast)? | | | |

None at all. I blew it big time when I was in Monterey. The wine shop accross the street from the Marriott had both of these at good prices, and I kept saying, "Yeah, I'll have to pick up a few of these before I leave." I totally forgot. Now I'm kicking myself. What do you think of the Cynthia and the Audrey?

| They are the unfiltered models; The Cynthia (Robb's wife) is the Sleepy Hollow grapes and the Audrey (Robb's mother-in-law) is from Diamond T. IMO the stuff is considerably more yummy than the "regular" bottlings.
I'm pretty sure you could get some shipped by calling their tasting room in Carmel Valley.
I wouldn't go overboard on the stuff. It's probably more money than say and Aubert and it really isn't anywhere the same quality. It's just a very good label that you may want to put a knotch in your cellar for drinking one.
I should say that 10-15 years ago it was the only Chardonnay we would buy but we've come a long way baby as have CA Chardonnays also.

| 2001 Talbott Chardonnay Diamond T Estate - USA, California, Central Coast, Carmel Valley (6/19/2008) WIMLNR
Tasted June 19, 2008 at an offline.
Opened and served immediately. Yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of pee processed asparagus spears. Believe it or not I tasted it and managed to coax a little apple while trying to hold me nose 9try that one and still be able to smell). Light acidity, light to medium body. Drink now if you have any. My first instinct was to blast this wine with a horrible score but it's obviously flawed.
