Well I was expecting something a bit lighter. I had a previous vintage and that made Evian look deep. It turned out to be slightly more coloured than the equivalent from CB and Wairau River but not Stonewall.

Nose was grassy and generic citrus. In the mouth this became every citrus fruit you can think of bar orange. There was strong grapefruit then lemon and a lime finish - there may even have been an Ugli fruit and a kumquat. Texture was a little on the thin side but not unpleasantly so. I still rate this behind all of the above and Nobilo Icon series and price-wise it is the second cheapest here - no excuse. Not a bad wine but certainly not the best NZ SB - but that is tough company.
