This wine seems to be a year in and year out consistent wine, and represents a great value at less than $10. Opened an 02 the other night for some cooking and drank the rest. It is a little different than many other NZ's in my opinion with lower acidity and a more tropical fruit flavor with a little rounder mouthfeel. I detected kiwi, mango, and citrus flavors with a little green pepper thrown in. I would rate 88pts.

I agree. This was the first NZ Sauv Blanc I ever tried, and I've always enjoyed it since. Its a great QPR, but then so are alot of other NZ Sauv Blancs.

I like this wine too, although a week or two ago, an unfinished bottle that had been refrigerated for a couple of days was very muted when we re-opened it. I think the lower-than-usual acidity makes it mandatory to drink this wine as young as possible (not that that's a problem ).

I tried this last night, and I had a difficult time getting past the reduced acidity relative to other NZ SBs I've tried. I was hoping that I'd found a good inexpensive summer sipper, but I really didn't care for it that much. For me it was a 83-84 point wine.
