| I just received an email from Jeremy. He's still on the mend, and hopes to be fully recovered within the next 12 months. His business has suffered since his illness, and he's spending most of his time getting it (and himself) back on it's feet.
Here's what he had to say about the 2004 NZ outlook:
"On the wine front I haven't bought anything of interest but of news the 2004 vintage is looking pretty smart. Tell Boardo the pinot gris will impress him (good lush fruit, strong malo acids and reasonable sugar levels.), and the sav blancs are back to their standard of a couple of years ago." "Martinborough, Marlborough pinots are looking good. Central otago a little one dimensional from everything I have read. Canterbury ( Daniel Schuster Omihi, Mountford and Pegasus bay) are as strong as ever...."

| I tried my first 2004 Sauvignon Blanc yesterday (Twin Islands) this is a second wine of Nautilus. I would agree that this seemed more up to par with what I remember a couple of years ago. On average I have been very dissapointed with the 2003's which many have seemed to lack the bite and intensity I am used to. I am glad to see the 04's beginning to hit the shelves for my end of summer enjoyment. | | | |

| Thanks for the update on Jeremy, budman.
I haven't hit too many 2003s, but they seemed OK but not quiiiite as good as prior vintages so it's good to hear the 2004s are looking good. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| Once again, Budman, thanks for the update. I was not aware that Jeremy was ailing. If you do happen to email him please send him my very best wishes.

| I've just registered intent with Justerini and Brooks for CB 2004. I can get other stuff quite easily but have to put a marker down on Cloudy Bay. | | | |
